The Speaker waived the Finance Committee referral for the following            
at the request of Representative Therriault, Co-chair:                         
                                                                               
HOUSE BILL NO. 289                                                            
"An Act relating to transportation of members of the Alaska                   
National Guard, the Alaska Naval Militia, and the Alaska State                 
Defense Force by the Alaska marine highway system and the                      
Alaska Railroad; and relating to the Alaska State Defense Force."              
                                                                               
HB 289 was removed from the Finance Committee and referred to the              
Rules Committee for placement on the calendar.
